Naga Raju, aged 3 years, is the youngest of the lot at VR1 HOME. Little Naga Raju was abandoned by his father when he was still in his mother’s womb. Bhavani, his single illiterate mother is an orphan too and had no one to turn to when abandoned pregnant. Every day has been a burden for this poor devastated family. Facing utmost hardships, his mother, older brother and Naga Raju had lost all hope in life.It was then that VR1 adopted the two kids ushering smiles into their despairing lives. Bhavani thanks VR1 with tears in her eyes as she sees tiny Naga Raju prancing around with a ball in his hand…

5 year old Chandra Sekhar is tiny Naga Raju’s older brother. Abandoned by his father at a tender age and watching his mother struggle to feed him and his younger brother, Chandra Sekhar had become very withdrawn due to these traumatic experiences. Things have begun to change for Chandra at VR1 HOME. The love and affection with which his new family has embraced him have helped him come out of his shell.His mother gratefully thanks VR1 which has ushered smiles into their despairing lives.

Divya aged 10 comes from a quiet little village Allapuram. Their late father Sudhakar used to rear cattle and do odd jobs to barely make ends meet. However, he soon ran into debts and was much pressured about it. In 2006, her father committed suicide and since then, their mother Naga Laxmi has been trying to support the family and also their aged grandfather. VR1 HOME brought a fresh lease of life into their family taking in both Raj and Divya. Divya states she enjoys taking the lead for the little kids around her!

Raj who is 12 Raj was affected a lot by his father’s suicide and never used to let go of his mother and experienced frequent mood swings earlier. The relaxing and loving atmosphere at VR1 HOME has helped Raj a great deal. Raj merrily chuckles and says he is very keen about computers and is very happy that he can learn everything about computers at VR1 HOME!

When 11 year old Rajeswari first came to VR1 HOME, she was standing in a corner… her big black eyes filled with anxiety and helplessness. Her father was a rickshaw puller by occupation. He was stabbed to death in 2001 by his friend due to conflicts over a sum of Rs 250! Having witnessed this gruesome murder, her mother became very depressed and ill and eventually passed away in 2005. With the death of both parents, Rajeswari and her sister Pooja were exploited by relatives for money. Their tender minds were scarred with these bitter experiences. It was then that VR1 HOME took them in putting an end to their troubles. Ever since, the girls are being molded with love to bring out the best in them.

Sri Chandu is one of the cutest and naughtiest of all the kids at VR1 HOME. His father is a drunkard and left the family in despair. His mother works in a hospital. Chandu came to VR1HOME in April 2010.The love and affection with which his new family brought him up has made him forget all the hardships he came across in his early life. Days now add delight to this boy. Chandu, now has a beam of smile on his lips all the day which spreads all around the VR1 HOME.

Kiran, an eight year boy is from low socio economic status family. His father is handicapped. Mother, a corn vendor struggles hard to make living and could not afford schooling for her kid. Lifting up the family from murky depths of despair VR1 adopted kiran. Kiran now enjoys schooling on par with international standards and has keen interest in extracurricular activities. He is now a boy with creative ideas and high energy levels. He cheerfully plays pranks with everyone at VR1 HOME.

Gayatri, a cute little girl aged 8 years was badly influenced by the divorce of her parents. Her mother toiled hard all alone as a tailor to support her little daughter. Gayatri’s childhood days had dark clouds of sorrow and insecurity all the way masking the hopes of the little girl. VR1 HOME brought a ray of hope into this little girl’s life. This tiny tot is now crafted as a cheerful bubbly girl at VR1 HOME.

5 years old Naveen Sai came to VR1 home in Jan 2010. This little one went throgh an intolerable childhood. Naveen Sai lost his father when his mother was still pregnant. His mother also passed away when he was 3 months old, leaving Naveen all alone. His grandparents took care of him for a while, but later when his grandfather expired, days turned too painful to cope up with. Putting an end to all these tragedies, VR1 took the little one and bestows immense love and affection upon him.

P. Manju lost her father when she was 2 years old. Her mother with her little daughter had all reasons for pain and depression. The responsibility of feeding the family was an unbearable weight on his mother’s shoulder. She lost her parents at an early age and was staying along with her kids at her grandmother’s house by doing some odd jobs to make their living. VR1 home took Lavanya as an employee and adopted both her children. Lavanya is thankful to VR1 for putting an end to all her sorrows and making her a part of VR1 family.

Shanmukh Sai , a 9 years old boy came to VR1 HOME in Jan 2010. Shanmukh is the elder brother of Kaushik. His father met with an accident and couldn’t afford to support his family. Unable to get by, he sold his tractor which was not of any help for a long time. However, his father ran into debts the boy had nowhere to go and the family lost all hopes. VR1 HOME came as a boon into their lives. VR1 adopted both the kids and is spreading smiles in the family. Both Shanmukh and Kaushuk are very active and happy and jump around all over in joy.

B Sharan Sai who is 6 years old is from a village called Nagayalanka. His father abandoned his mother when sai was 3 years old. His mother worked hard to support her two little kids with a heavy heart by working here and there. VR1 HOME brought loads of joy into this family by adopting the entire family. His mother, Lakshmi is given employment in one of the VR1 HOMES and is trained to be capable of managing an entire HOME all by herself. The kids and the mother feel that their life has become meaningful and purposeful now.

Koushik was eight years old when his father met with a tragic accident and could no longer go for work. His father who owned a tractor sold it off to feed but soon ran into debts. His mother being helpless could not afford proper schooling for her kids. Then came VR1 HOME bringing tonns of happiness in to this family and drive away all their sorrows by adopting both koushik and his brother. Both the kids are very good at caroms and enjoy playing games.

Sai Bhargav, 10 years old kid is one of the most talented kid at VR1 HOME. His father died leaving his illiterate mother all alone. She toiled hard selling tiffins roadside, but couldn’t earn enough to support her children. VR1 home adopted this little kid with lots of love and presents him with joyous and cheerful life. Bhargav loves going to school, playing with his friends and attending computer classes with his new family at VR1 HOME.

Charan aged 11 years is from a village called Surempalem. His father was a farmer and he died of cancer and left his mom and Charan in despair. Charan has a younger brother. They were desperately seeking help from their uncles for financial support. VR1home came into their lives with loads of joy and rays of happiness. Charan and his brother quickly got along with their friends at VR1 HOME. In just an year’s time, Charan has transformed so much that he has won Bronze Medal at State level Karate Championships.

Teku Sai, a 5 year old boy is from a town called Palakol. Sai’s father abandoned Sai and his father when Sai was just 2 years old. Having no other means, Sai’s mother took up the job of a house maid. As a single parent with very low socio economic status, Sai’s mother had a tough time to meet even basic needs of food and shelter for her and her son. She struggled hard for 3 years to take care of her little child. VR1 brought a new light in her life by adopting Sai into the family of VR1. Sai is a very happy kid and smiles all the time now.

B.Suresh is a 11 year old boy from kodada. Both the parents work in the fields all day to make their living. And parents have a lot of quarrels and disputes at home. Suresh was influenced by this disturbed childhood. But VR1 added cheers to this family by welcoming Suresh into the family of VR1. He is very happy at VR1 home now. He has become hyperactive & involves in all events held at VR1 home.

Swarna Rekha, 11 years old girl from Nujivid is an intelligent and understanding girl at VR1 HOME. Swarna has a lot of interest in studies right from her childhood. But her father being a drunkard let Swarna’s interest remain only a dream. She worked hard with her mother to support the family and fought with her father for drinking and coming home every day. She was disturbed mentally and lost all her hopes. VR1 came as a joy into her life when she entered VR1 HOME and realized that she could not only go to school but also learn computers, read books, meet different people and much more!

M.Sai kumar is the younger brother of Charan. He hails from the village surempalem. His father who was a farmer expired due to cancer. Having lost his father in a tender age, he didn’t even know how his family struggled to make their living. Things turned much better as VR1 dawned into their lives chasing away all the darkness and brought light into their lives. Both the boys are now a part of VR1.Their mother is very grateful and thanks VR1 for bringing happiness into their lives.

Coming from a poor family, 12 year old Naresh has never had access to basic amenities. His father is a peon and barely makes enough to take care of the many dependents. VR1 HOME is a dream that has come true for aspiring Naresh.

Mahesh aged 8 comes from a small village Dawajigudam. His father, a lorry cleaner met with an accident and is immobile now due to multiple fractures of both legs. In order take care of 2 children and the sick father, his mother Kumari has been washing clothes in houses. Yet, it was very hard for the family to even get by.When VR1 first adopted Mahesh, he was pale and weak. Over the days, Mahesh has gotten stronger and enjoys playing cricket everyday! He also loves attending the arts classes at VR1 HOME.

12 year old Pooja has had a very traumatic childhood. Her father was cruelly stabbed to death by a friend and her mother passed away after him after years of depression and sickness. Pooja and her sister Rajeswari were exploited by relatives for money. They were working as maids at such an young age when they should have been in school…VR1 HOME has now re-written their story. Both Pooja and Rajeswari are bright girls who enjoy learning in classrooms, sketching with crayons and threadwork!

12 year old Vijaya lost her father when she was barely a few months old. He died of a brain tumor leaving her mother shattered. They turned to their poor grandparents as a last resort unable to make a living. The old couple rears a couple of buffaloes and feed the entire family. Into their desolate lives came VR1 has a ray of hope. Vijaya has embraced her new family at VR1 HOME and cheerfully plays with the younger kids.

Pavan, 10 lost his father in 2005 in an accident. This left the burden of feeding the family on their mother Padma, who has been searching for odd jobs since then. Unable to get by, they have been living with their aged grandparents in a small village called Koyyuru. When all hope was lost in despair, the family heard about VR1 HOME which took them in under its generous roof. Pavan is very active and has quickly imbibed the values of caring and sharing.

6 year old Mouli was abandoned by his father as an infant. Since then, his illiterate mother Kumari has been trying to raise the family through cleaning jobs. VR1 HOME brought hope into their hearts by adopting Mouli. Little Mouli says he will learn to read and write and become a great person!

Manju, 12 is a single parent child from a low socio economic status family. Her father died in an accident leaving her distraught mother alone. Her mother was unable to raise a family of 2 kids all by herself and has been seeking the help of Manju’s aged grandparents. VR1 HOME came to the family’s rescue and brought smiles into their lives. Manju has a keen interest in arts and crafts and enjoys knitting and embroidery at VR1 HOME.
